Introducing Meraki Supply Company! Finally, a dry bag where your aesthetic doesn't need to compromised on your adventures. Owner and founder, Haley Decatur, created this brand out of a place of personal frustration, being a woman of the water. She felt as though the market was seriously lacking products that allowed her to truly express her individuality, while doing the things she loved most. Haley grew up among a family of watermen on the Potomac River in Virginia, spending her mornings sleeping on the floor of a crab boat before school. From an early age, she truly got to experience a male-dominated culture on the water, and quickly realized the lack of products for women. In fact, the lack of products to express yourself, for men and women. She always wore the smallest size of male oil skins, which come in three colors: orange, white, or green. Paired with rubber boots that come in grey or white. Haley hated it for as long as she can remember. She always felt like her ability to express herself was limited, while on the water.

In the last few years of living in Indonesia, spending everyday under the sun and in the waves, Haley quickly realized that a dry bag was a necessity for an adventure-loving, surfer like herself. She needed a bag that could keep up with her sun-drenched lifestyle, that was easy to clean out, and would keep her stuff dry on the boat, when going out to surf reef breaks every morning. So the search started... Haley went to dozens of surf shops, looking for a dry bag, but ran into the same problem. She found several dry bags, but everything that she found had zero character to it. They were all a solid color, lacking any personality. Immediately she felt the same frustration she always felt while working on the commercial crabbing boat, like the ability to express ourselves, while doing what we loved most, was being hindered.

That's when her gears started turning. Haley started thinking of how she could help people, especially us adventurous men and women, express themselves while pursuing their passions, using dry bags. This didn't need to be a product that just had a responsibility, but she needed this dry bag to be a product that allowed us to feel our most authentic self, at the same time. If beach towels and purses compliment our style, why shouldn't a dry bag!

Her goal with Meraki is to make people feel empowered and confident, while encouraging everyone to live the life of their dreams.
